Blue Vixen is the RAF's annual cross country skiing expedition which takes place in and around Zwiesel in Bavaria, Germany. The aim of this site is to provide a focal point for information about the expedition - past, present and future. Included is an introduction to the exped itself with annual reports, a photo/video gallery and articles written by various participants. You can also find a whole section on cross country skiing, describing the equipment and techniques with accompanying videos and pictures. The site has its own forum for the benefit of participants who need a little advice or would like to share their wealth of experience. There are also descriptions of the training areas with links to Google Maps and live webcams to get a feel for the geography of the area and several links to other related sites and articles.
